Dorothy Mhlanga is a Business Consultant who works with industry leaders to help them leverage technology in order to achieve their goals. Dorothy has a keen interest in the business analysis planning and management that occurs before IT projects are commissioned. She has identified this as one of the early indicators of project success and works to leverage it to enable businesses to realise value from their investment.

Dorothy has worked in several different industries and has extensive experience in delivering technology-based solutions in the Finance and Health sectors. She graduated with an Honours degree in Computer Science and Information Systems from the University of Cape Town and works as a consultant for Saratoga Software, based in Cape Town.

At BA Summit 2018, Dorothy presented “Your IT Project is Failing — When to Throw in the Towel for the Greater Good of the Business”, exploring the reasons IT projects fail and how business analysts can help identify and address problems before they become irreversible.
