Amplify Capability

AI, Automation, Data & the Augmented Business Analyst

Artificial intelligence, automation, data, and analytics are reshaping how Business Analysts understand problems, uncover opportunities, engage stakeholders, and guide decision-making.

The Augmented Business Analyst does not rely on technology to replace judgement. Instead, they leverage intelligent tools and data-driven insights to work more effectively, ask better questions, analyse information with greater depth, and enable better business outcomes. As the profession evolves, Business Analysts must continuously expand their capabilities while maintaining the critical thinking, business context, ethical judgement, and human-centred perspective that remain essential to successful change.

This track explores how Business Analysts can combine AI, automation, data, analytics, and human insight to enhance analysis, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, solution design, and decision-making. It also examines how effective knowledge management practices help organisations capture, share, and leverage institutional knowledge to improve collaboration, accelerate learning, and support better decision-making, and examines the emerging capabilities, tools, and practices that are shaping the future of the profession and empowering Business Analysts to create greater value within increasingly complex and technology-enabled environments.
