Growing up around computers it was inevitable that Charlene would work in the IT industry. After completing a BCom in Information Systems, she started her career journey as a Quality Assurance Analyst for a software development house, before being promoted into her first Business Analysis role — where her love for the profession emerged.

Out of an interest to better understand the way businesses define their strategies and operate, Charlene pursued a BCom (Hons) in Business Management. Over six years at Saratoga Software, Charlene has worked as a Business Analyst on a number of complex projects across the Finance industry and has led teams of Business Analysts. She thoroughly enjoys mentoring and developing the skills of others to create high-performing teams.

Charlene considers her Information Systems background, coupled with her understanding of how businesses operate, fundamental to her ability to understand strategic drivers behind business decisions. At BA Summit 2018, she presented “The Time Has Come for the Holistic Business Analyst!”, exploring how generalist Business Analysts with breadth of knowledge across all BA competencies are increasingly needed as companies navigate digital transformation.
