    About Gareth Rees

Gareth has had a diverse career ranging from multiple start-up companies in various roles to corporate professional services experience. Despite the variety of sectors and roles that Gareth has occupied, the golden thread throughout his career has been innovation and digital transformation.

Gareth is a firm believer that exponential technologies, in particular augmented reality, IoT, block chain, robotics, 3D printing, cognitive computing and platforms in their various forms, will and are fundamentally changing society and business. These changes are having profound effects on the decisions made on a daily basis and are eroding the typical trade offs that have been engrained in the classic management thinking paradigm. In order for a new wave of business and societal leaders to be successful in the future, they have no choice but to engage and wrestle with these technologies and the paradigm shifts that they bring. The impact will be felt most strongly in the management layer and the typical MBA curriculum will need to change vastly to prepare this new breed of manager and leader for this continual and dramatic disruption.

Gareth considers himself a dedicated student of digital disruption in both his formal career and other aspects of his life.
