About the 2023 Conference
The 11th Edition — Back in Cape Town
Under the energising theme Elevate. Empower. Excel., the 2023 Business Analysis Summit Southern Africa returned to Cape Town — bringing over 35 speakers and hundreds of delegates to the DoubleTree by Hilton Upper East Side in Woodstock from 30 October to 1 November 2023.
The 11th edition challenged practitioners to raise their professional game, take ownership of their growth, and deliver measurable business value. From keynotes on OKR execution and unlearning to deep-dives into sustainability mindsets, executive business analysis, and practice maturity, the programme offered something for every stage of a business analyst’s career.
A full day of pre-conference workshops on 30 October preceded the two main conference days, offering hands-on learning in gamification, team collaboration, and foundational business analysis skills. The conference was organised by IIBA Southern Africa, the official regional chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis.
