About the 2017 Conference
The 6th Edition — Business Analysis Meets the 4th Industrial Revolution
Business Analysis 4.0 — the theme of the 6th Business Analysis Summit Southern Africa — took its cue from Industry 4.0, the era defined by the Internet of Things, Big Data, Blockchain, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. These forces are reshaping every industry, and business analysts find themselves at the centre of navigating the disruption.
Held at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West, Cape Town from 4 to 6 September 2017, the conference brought together over 30 speakers — including international thought leaders from the UK, Canada, USA, Germany, Slovenia, and Nigeria — alongside hundreds of delegates from across Southern Africa. Sessions explored volatility and uncertainty, digital transformation, agile analysis, and the evolving role of the BA in an increasingly automated world.
The conference was organised by IIBA Southern Africa, the official regional chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis.
