About the Speaker
Lucy is a Business Analyst to her core, with over 20 years of experience spanning the construction and finance sectors. Her journey has taken her from high school teaching to COBOL programming, and ultimately to her true calling in business analysis. Today, she brings her expertise to her roles as Product Owner for a Commercial Banking CRM and Integration Specialist, blending strategic insight with technical depth.
A certified CBAP™, Lucy also holds the IIBA Certificate in Cybersecurity Analysis (CCA) and the Certificate in Product Ownership Analysis (CPOA). Her agile credentials include multiple SAFe® v5 certifications, and recently discovering more around Data Science, intending to sit the IIBA exam to be a Certified Business Data Analyst (CBDA) in the next few months.
Lucy is a cornerstone of the IIBA community in Africa. She helped launch IIBA South Africa 16 years ago, served as IIBA-SA President (2018–2019), and currently represents the continent as Regional Deputy Director for Africa on the IIBA Global Chapter Council.
Since 2015, Lucy has led the FTI CBAP Certification Prep bootcamp—a high-impact, four-day course designed to demystify the BABOK and empower professionals to earn their CBAP certification.
