In 2022, I decided to take a break from my career; an incredibly liberating, yet terrifying idea. I had been doing business analysis for nearly 10 years, my entire working life! For me, it seemed clear that I had to unpack something: why was I feeling so unfulfilled and what needed to change? In this presentation, I wish to share some of the reflections from my journey throughout Western Europe, and how this has influenced my ideas around leadership and collaboration… and my return to a career as BA!
- The most important leadership qualities that BA’s need to cultivate to be effective (what does a Socratic BA look like?);
- Why asking questions can rub people off the wrong way (and how to deal with it);
- The importance of hope (and why BA’s should play a key part in inspiring those around them).
