Make no mistake about it: disruption, interruption and the forces of change resulting from the confluence of megatrends and technological advancements such as those we are witnessing today, can be scary and highly nerve-wracking, for organisations and individuals alike. These factors and realities all present us with one big hairy but quite familiar foe: uncertainty.
You see, we don’t need to like uncertainty for us to make the most of it. You and your organisation don’t need to love or even be fans of uncertainty in order to thrive through it. And this appreciation/understanding alone can be sufficient to not only liberate us from the fear of uncertainty but to also empower us to make the most of it!
This talk recognizes that as we navigate through the waves of uncertainty, as our organisations traverse the paths of unprecedented change, there are mindsets, skills and approaches that enable us to convert great uncertainty into its more palatable cousin: a great opportunity. And to do so we must:
– Seize the moments
– Leverage today’s single most important skill
– Stay in the game.
