This presentation focuses on the ability to understand and master self as a key tenet to delivering great Business Analysis work and creatively engaging stakeholders. It also breaks down the key concepts around VALUE and its perception and how this translates to interactions between the BA and their stakeholders i.e. what is value, how do various individuals, organizations and people groups perceive value and how does this varying perception influence your stakeholder interaction on projects. Key thought points will include: Locating our Why as a key to unearthing value in interactions. The power of empowering self as BA with broader life experiences. Unlocking valuable interaction insights through investing in shared experiences. Elevating the BA’s interaction capacity and capability through investing in technical astuteness. Empowering the BA to curate valuable insights through joining professional community. The presentation will further highlight the greater work required to be extended by BA’s to find and elicit extraordinary out of a world that is ready to settle. We will explore as well the interactive context establishing the various contexts and environments in which BA’s are interacting with stakeholders and how this is affecting the quality of conversations (Being a BA in Africa).
